Carter’s Chord
With new releases from Brad Paisley, Frankie Ballard, Mandy Barnett and Carter’s Chord, last week was full of new music for country fans. Sister trio Carter’s Chord hopes their six-song EP Wild Together stood out.
“This EP has been a labor of love for us,” says singer Becky Robertson. “Over the past few years we really feel we have been able to develop as artists. We have centered in on our true sound and fostered our craft as writers.This time around in the studio, we feel that the listener can hear our hearts and creative growth. We wanted to make a project that speaks to people across the board...real songs, real stories, real instruments, real harmonies.”
The band has a run of tourdates coming up in support of the release, issued by Show Dog-Universal, including a stop at the June 9-12 CMA Music Festival in Nashville. The Robertson sisters are set for CMA performances on Thursday, June 9 at 2 p.m. at the Durango Acoustic Corner and Sunday, June 12 at 2:45 p.m. on the Lay's Stage at Bridgestone Arena Plaza.
